Adapted from Night of the Living Dead scripter John Russo’s pulp horror novel, this is a more old-fashioned living-dead romp in the mode of White Zombie .The story is set in the Deep South, where a diabolical, machete-wielding voodoo priest (Candyman’s Tony Todd) is busily turning migrant farm workers into flesh-eating, living-dead slaves.
A city is ravaged by an epidemic of instant “white blindness”. Those first afflicted are quarantined by the authorities in an abandoned mental hospital where the newly created “society of the blind” quickly breaks down. The stream of new comedian shows released on DVDs lately has been very intense and group VH-PROD released yet another flick representing this movie genre. Louis C. K. is certainly not big here in Europe but I guess he has some fans in the States and his latest Showtime channel show Chewed Up has very positive ratings. This 1 CD rip offers a great image and video quality as the runtime spans only to 61 minutes.
